8 分钟

Some actions happen quickly, others slowly. Some are regular, others are one-time. Adverbs of frequency tell how often you do things.

Common frequency adverbs (从最频繁到最不频繁):

  • always: 100% of the time (太阳总是升起)
  • usually: about 80% of the time (通常情况)
  • often: about 60% of the time (经常)
  • sometimes: about 40% of the time (有时)
  • rarely/seldom: about 10% of the time (很少)
  • never: 0% of the time (从不)

Sentence pattern (频率副词的位置):

  • Before main verbs: I usually eat breakfast at 7.
  • After 'be' verbs: She is always late for class.
  • Can move to beginning for emphasis: Sometimes I walk to school.

Asking about frequency:

  • How often do you...? -- Answer with frequency adverbs
