短语动词 Phrasal verbs 1

Phrasal verbs are verb + preposition combinations. They're everywhere in English—you can't speak naturally without them!

Common phrasal verbs (日常短语动词):

Get + preposition (最常用系列):

• get up: rise from bed → I get up at 7.
• get dressed: put on clothes → Get dressed quickly!
• get on: enter bus/train → Get on the train now.
• get off: leave bus/train → Get off at the next stop.
• get along with: have good relationship with → She gets along with her classmates.
• get back: return → Get back before dark.
• get to: arrive → What time did you get to school?

Look + preposition (看的系列):

• look up: search for information → Look up the word in a dictionary.
• look for: try to find → I'm looking for my keys.
• look after: take care of → Please look after my dog while I'm away.
• look forward to: anticipate with pleasure → I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Put + preposition (放的系列):

• put on: wear → Put on your jacket; it's cold.
• put off: delay → Don't put off homework until tomorrow.
• put away: put in proper place → Put away your toys.

Take + preposition (拿的系列):

• take off: remove clothing OR plane leaves → Take off your shoes. The plane takes off at 9.
• take after: resemble a parent → She takes after her mother—both have blue eyes.
• take part in: participate → Will you take part in the competition?

Tip: Phrasal verbs are informal. In academic writing, people often use single words: "continue" instead of "go on," "postpone" instead of "put off."
