计划与预约 Making plans

10 分钟

Making plans with friends means suggesting times and places, and confirming what you'll do together.

Making weekend plans (约周末):

A: Hey! Got any plans for this weekend?
B: Nothing yet. Why? What's up?
A: Some friends and I are going hiking in the mountains on Saturday. Want to come with us?
B: Hiking sounds fun! What time are you planning to leave?
A: We're meeting at 7 AM at the school gate. Then taking a bus together to the mountain.
B: That's early, but okay. I'm in! What should I bring?
A: Good! Bring water, snacks, comfortable shoes, sun protection. We'll eat lunch at the top, then hike down around 2 PM.
B: Sounds perfect. Can I bring my roommate too?
A: Sure, the more the merrier! Just let me know so I can count heads for bus tickets.
B: I'll ask him tonight and text you. Thanks for inviting me!
A: No problem! See you Saturday at 7.

Canceling plans (取消约定):

A: Hey Li, I'm so sorry but I can't make it to the movies tomorrow.
B: Oh no! What happened?
A: My grandma fell and hurt her leg, so I need to go visit her in the hospital tomorrow afternoon.
B: Oh no, that's terrible! Is she okay?
A: She'll be fine, just needs rest and family around. But I'm really sorry to cancel last minute.
B: Don't worry about it at all! Family comes first. We can go see the movie another time, no rush.
A: You're the best. Can I pay you back for the tickets I bought?
B: No need! I'll just get a refund or go with someone else. Hope your grandma feels better soon!
A: Thank you so much for understanding. I owe you one!

Rescheduling (改时间):

A: Hey, about our study session tonight - would tomorrow work better for you?
B: Actually, I have a family dinner tomorrow. Is Wednesday okay instead?
A: Wednesday at 6 PM works for me. Same library?
B: Perfect, same place. See you Wednesday at 6!

Practice: Write a dialogue where you invite a friend to your birthday party, include time, place, and what to bring.
