10 分钟

Agreeing, disagreeing, and giving opinions politely helps you communicate well with others.

Giving opinions (表达观点):

Strong opinion:

  • "I believe we should focus on environmental problems first."
  • "In my opinion, this is the best solution."
  • "From my perspective, we need to change our approach."

Neutral / tentative opinion (soft):

  • "I think maybe we should try something different."
  • "It seems to me that cost might be too high."
  • "What if we think about it another way?"

Asking for someone's opinion:

  • "What do you think about this?"
  • "What's your opinion on...?"
  • "Where do you stand on this issue?"
  • "How do you feel about...?"

Agreeing (同意):

Strong agreement:

  • "I completely agree!"
  • "I couldn't agree more."
  • "That's exactly what I think."
  • "You're absolutely right!"

Partial agreement (部分同意):

  • "I agree with you up to a point, but..."
  • "I see what you mean, however..."
  • "That's true, but have you considered...?"

Disagreeing politely (礼貌反对):

Strong but polite:

  • "I see things differently actually..."
  • "I'm afraid I don't agree. Here's why..."
  • "I respect your opinion, but my view is different."

Soft disagreement:

  • "Hmm, I'm not sure about that..."
  • "I see what you're saying, but what about...?"
  • "Could we think about this from another angle?"

Example debate discussion (辩论讨论):

A: I think all students should wear school uniforms. It's equal for everyone.
B: I see what you mean about equality, but what about freedom of expression?
A: Good point. But uniforms reduce bullying about clothes and help poor students fit in.
B: That's true. However, students should learn to express themselves through clothing choices, right?
A: Hmm, I never thought about that. Maybe we could have uniform options in different colors?
B: Interesting idea! That could balance both equality and choice.
A: So we both agree some standardization is good but need some options?
B: Exactly! Compromise is great.

Practice: Write a dialogue debating whether smartphones should be banned in classrooms. Include agreement and polite disagreement.
