课堂与小组 Class & group work

10 分钟

In class and at school, you need to ask teachers questions, work in groups, and talk to classmates.

Asking the teacher a question (问老师):

Student A: Excuse me, Professor Wang? Could I ask you a question about today's lecture?
Teacher: Yes, of course! What would you like to know?
Student A: I didn't quite understand the formula on page 47. Could you explain it again?
Teacher: Good question! That formula is tricky. Let me draw it on the board for you... You see, X represents time and Y represents speed.
Student A: Oh, I see now! So the rate of change is the slope?
Teacher: Exactly! You got it.
Student A: Thank you so much for explaining again.
Teacher: No problem at all. Remember, I have office hours every Wednesday afternoon if you need more help.
Student A: Great, I might come by next week. Thank you again!

Group project discussion (小组项目):

Student A: Alright team, let's divide up this presentation project. We need to finish it by next Friday.
Student B: What are the parts we need to do?
Student A: We need introduction, history, current situation, future predictions, and conclusion. That's 5 parts for the 5 of us.
Student C: I'll do the introduction! I can explain what the topic is and why it's important.
Student D: I can do the history part. I know a lot about that already.
Student E: I'll research current situation with data.
Student B: I can do future predictions. I like thinking about what comes next.
Student A: Perfect, that leaves conclusion for me. I'll also do the slides and make everything look good together.
Student C: When should we meet to practice presenting?
Student A: Let's meet Wednesday after class to go over everything. Email your parts to me by Tuesday night.
All: Sounds good! Let's do this team.

After class talking to classmates (课后闲聊):

A: Wow, that math class was hard today! Did you understand any of it?
B: Not really, to be honest. I was so confused by those equations.
A: Me too! Want to study together at the library after lunch? We can help each other.
B: That would be great! What time works for you?
A: How about 2 PM? I need to eat first or I can't think straight.
B: Perfect, meet me by the library entrance at 2. I'll bring my textbook and notes.
A: Awesome, see you then! This test next week is going to kill me, but together we can do it.
B: Yes, team work makes dream work!

Practice: Write a dialogue where a student asks the teacher for extra help after missing class due to illness.
