The Crow and the Pitcher
It was a hot day. A crow was very thirsty. He flew here and there, looking for water. At last, he found a pitcher under a tree. There was some water in it!
The crow put his beak into the pitcher, but the neck was too long and narrow, and the water was too low. He could not reach it. He tried to knock the pitcher over, but it was too heavy.
The crow did not give up. He looked around and had an idea. Near the pitcher there were many small stones. He picked up one stone with his beak and dropped it into the pitcher. Then another, and another. One by one, the stones went in, and slowly the water rose higher and higher. At last, the crow could drink!
Where there is a will, there is a way.
