KET PET

Hi Anna,
I've booked the tennis court for Saturday at 10, but I've just realised I have a dentist appointment then. I could change the court to 2 p.m. — or we could leave it and I'll try to move the dentist. Let me know which you'd prefer.
Max

A Max wants Anna to decide what to do.
B Max has cancelled the tennis court.
C Max is asking Anna to book a different time.

答案:A

  • C 错——改时间的是他自己(I could change),不是让 Anna 去订
  • A 对——Let me know which you'd prefer = 让 Anna 决定

  • The writer wants to apologise for...(道歉)
  • The writer is offering to...(提出帮忙)
  • The writer is reminding someone to...(提醒)
  • The writer is complaining about...(抱怨)
  • The writer wants someone to decide...(请对方决定)

I'm sorry / I'm afraid / Unfortunately
提议 I could... / Shall I... / Would you like me to...
请求 Could you... / Would you mind... / Please
Don't forget / Remember to / Just to remind you
The problem is / I'm not happy about
Let me know / It's up to you / Which would you prefer

I've booked(已订)vs I could change(可以改,还没改)vs I'll try(会去试)

重点三:but / however / although 之后是重点

SWIMMING POOL
Due to a staff shortage, the pool will close at 6 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Weekend times are unchanged. We apologise for any inconvenience.

A The pool will be closed all next week.
B The pool will shut earlier on some days.
C The pool has changed its weekend hours.

B 的 shut earlier on some days 对应 close at 6 instead of 9, Monday to Thursday。
