冠词：a / an / the

名词前常戴一顶小帽子，叫冠词。英语只有三个：a、an、the，却是考试和口语里错误率最高的点之一。

a / an ＝ 一个（泛指，不指定哪个）：

• 辅音音素开头用 a：a book、a dog、a university（u 在这里读 /ju:/，是辅音开头）
• 元音音素开头用 an：an apple、an egg、an hour（h 不发音，实际以元音开头）

注意：看的是发音，不是字母。university 和 hour 是最经典的一对陷阱。

the ＝ 这个／那个（特指，双方都知道是哪个）：

1. 第二次提到：I have a dog. The dog is cute.（第一次介绍用 a，之后用 the）
2. 独一无二：The sun is bright.／The moon is round.
3. 序数词和最高级前：the first day／the best student
4. 乐器前：play the piano

什么时候不戴帽子（零冠词）：

• 复数泛指一类：Dogs are friendly.（狗这类动物都友好）
• 不可数泛指：I like milk.
• 三餐、球类、学科：have lunch／play football／study English

一句话心法：第一次、随便一个 → a/an；提过、独有、排序 → the；泛指一类、三餐球类 → 不戴帽子。
