名词的单复数

英语里的名词有「单数」（一个）和「复数」（多个）之分。

规则变化：

1. 一般加 s：book → books, pen → pens
2. 以 s / x / ch / sh 结尾加 es：bus → buses, box → boxes, watch → watches
3. 以辅音 + y 结尾：y 变 i + es → baby → babies, city → cities
4. 以 f / fe 结尾：f 变 v + es → knife → knives, leaf → leaves

不规则变化（只能靠背）：

• man → men, woman → women, child → children
• foot → feet, tooth → teeth
• sheep → sheep（单复数同形！一只羊和十只羊都是 sheep）

a / an 的用法：单数可数名词前面加 a 或 an

• a + 辅音开头：a book, a pen
• an + 元音（a/e/i/o/u）开头：an apple, an egg, an hour
